Reference & toolsPrint referencesThere are numerous books available about interviews as a research and evaluation method. One of the volumes in The Survey Kit edited by Arlene Fink (2002) is titled How to Conduct In-Person Interviews for Surveys. Krueger and Casey (2000) wrote a useful text called Focus Groups: A Practical Guide for Applied Research. Michael Quinn Patton's (1997) book, Qualitative Research and Evaluation Methods is an excellent resource concerning how to analyze data from interviews and focus groups, especially when supplemented with Miles and Huberman (1994) volume, Qualitative Data Analysis: An Expanded Sourcebook.
