This site provides scientific background on some of the most exciting geologic issues on the North American continent. The areas investigated in the Did You Knows will be the targets of one of the most ambitious Earth science investigations in the history of the science - the EarthScope Project.

Each study area has questions for users to explore using the EarthScope Voyager. This is an interactive map tool developed by UNAVCO with support from the National Science Foundation for the study of global-scale geodynamic processes.
